Prof Ranjan Das, Professor of Strategy, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership, is a pioneer in India in developing an alternative solution for design and delivery of Academic and Professional Education Programs and Vocational Skill Development Programs. This alternative solution, a convergence of traditional brick and mortar education system and Massive Open Online Courses [MOOCs] system, is named as Smart Learning and Transformation Solution [SLTS], The Complete Transformation Solution that includes a technology enabled Integrated Dual Learning Process [IDLP]. SLTS, registered with Patent, Designs and Trademark Office of India, comprises several systems including a 100% LIVE and 2 Way Interactive Communication Platform that enables streaming video and audio services and which is accessible from anywhere in India and the world on real time and Direct2Participant basis. Prof Das developed this content, location and device neutral scalable solution as an Academic Entrepreneur after completing his entrepreneurial venture of single-handedly leading Indian Institute of Management Calcutta [IIMC]’s extremely successful journey in long duration executive education space during 1999-2007 [IIMC is currently the largest provider of satellite-based long duration executive education in India].
For doing research on design and development of Smart Learning and Transformation Solution [SLTS], The Complete Transformation, Prof Das set up – in early 2008 – an entrepreneurial research vehicle named The Strategy Academy Centre for Advanced Studies. Set up as a Society under Societies Act 1961, this Academy perfected the design and delivery processes of SLTS through rolling out a series of academic, executive education and a variety of custom-built capability building programs for different segments of organizations and Individuals. Among the many programs the Academy offers, the most prominent one is the Post Graduate Diploma Program in Management and Entrepreneurship jointly certified with very well-known University in India. Prof Das is the current Chairman and Dean – Academics of The Strategy Academy Centre for Advanced Studies.
Prof Das also leads the future focused strategy, innovation and leadership practice at The Next Ideation, a professional services organization – also set up by Prof Das – for offering advisory services in the areas of Strategy, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.

Education . Established in 2019, the SOER is an editorial report published by UNESCO New
Delhi . It highlights key education issues through comprehensive research on national and
international priorities. Each year, it centres around a specific theme relevant to India’s
education context. The report will be created in alignment with the framework development
at UNESCO World Conference on Culture and Arts Education held from 13 to 15 February
2024 in Abu Dhabi , United Arab Emirates. The objective of the conference was to recall the
Preamble of the UNESCO Constitution and affirming the wide diffusion of culture and art
towards education of humanity for justice, liberty and peace .
The project will get over in December 2024.
Habit and Behaviour – Transdisciplinary Research Project (Ongoing )

Project Overview – The formation of habits through a neuroscientific approach and their
connection with complex cognition and tasks is important. The underlying mechanisms that
control coordinated and purposeful behaviour and complex cognition are major grey areas in
the field of neuroscience. Simple behaviour can be explained through relatively simple and
straightforward interactions between the brain’s input and output systems. However, complex
cognition, higher order analytical, creative, strategic and critical thinking with a meaningful
balance of emotion through the lenses of neural activities, still remain unexplored to a great
extent.
More than 30 master’s students have contributed in this initiative in an academic researchcapacity.

New Product Development and Innovation Considering Circular Economy Framework
(Ongoing)
This project aims to develop new products and innovations that align with the principles of
the Circular Economy and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. The focus
is to create sustainable solutions that reduce resource consumption, minimize environmental
impact and enhance social responsibility while ensuring compliance with governance
standards. The project will involve stakeholders across multiple functions, including R&D,
supply chain, marketing, and sustainability.
We are in collaboration with various SMEs, Social Enterprise , Government Corporations ,
Non-Governmental Organisations etc.
